2011 we will take the time to honor a special Lion from each club (a new Lion if possible) in Zones 1,2,3,4, who has made an outstanding contribution to further the development of Lionism ona Club, District or International Level.
The breakfast will be held at the CORNUCOPIA BANQUET HALL, 371 PINEWOODS ROAD, TORRINGTON, CT (EXIT 46, NORTH OF TORRINGTON) from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. COFFEE will be available at 8 :00 a.m.
The Breakfast is open to everyone, so please invite other members from your Club, their families and friends to join us at this important event. The cost of the Breakfast will be $19.00 for Adults and $9.50 for children (10 years old and younger). If your club or the district has any upcoming events, you are more than welcome to place flyers on the tables.
A reservation form is enclosed in this mailing. ALL ATTENDEES SHOULD BE LISTED ON THE RESERVATION FORM WHICH MUST BE RETURNED BY FEBRUARY I5TH, 2011, NO EXCEPTIONS, so please plan ahead. All reservation monies (make checks payable to District 23B Lions) must also be RETURNED BY FEB ISTH, to Lion Lory Samolis. If you have questions regarding the Breakfast, please do not hesitate to call me at 860-496-7414 any time. Please call back ifI am not available.
On the morning of the Breakfast, Club Presidents or another designated member of your Club will be asked to introduce your 'OUTSTANDING LION MEMBER'. The introduction should be no longer than 30 to 45 seconds and should include why this outstanding club member has been selected for this special honor. If no one else from your Club will be attending, please send the introduction information along with your check. CLUBS WILL BE ALLOWED ONLY ONE OUTSTANDING CLUB MEMBER. NO EXCEPTIONS, PLEASE.
Please bring the eyeglasses your club has collected to the Breakfast.
I would appreciate each Club bringing one or two door prize gifts. Door prize tickets will be giving out at the door.
